Ekphrasis Classes
Great master's class today on ekphrasis. Or, in less fancy terms, writing inspired by art (in this case images). And, of course, a trip to Proper Pie for lunch can never be a bad thing. — with Jennifer Poulin James and Kim Drew Wright.
Hmm...now that I think about it, was it the art or the pie that inspired me the most? Either way, it was great to connect with writer friends and hear two insightful and welcoming teachers share their methods, Carrie Brown and John Gregory Brown. What an awesome way to spend a Friday in RVA. Thanks again to James River Writers for hosting the event.
